Jeremy Bordeaux, MD, MPH at University Hospitals Case Medical Center (UH CMC) and the Director of Dermatologic Surgery & Melanoma Program, received the prestigious Theodore Tromovich Award at the 2008 American College of Mohs Surgery annual meeting. Each year the award is presented to a fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon who has performed outstanding research related to skin cancer.
Mohs Micrographic Surgery is the most advanced and effective treatment procedure for skin cancer available today. The procedure is performed by specially trained surgeons who have completed a minimum of one additional year of fellowship training (in addition to the three-year dermatology residency). Dr Bordeaux completed his Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology fellowship under the direction of Dr. Mary Maloney at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in Worcester , Massachusetts . His residency training was completed at the University of Massachusetts, and his Medical Degree was earned at Duke University.
